Glowy Daytime Look

Meet Em!

A young, vibrant student who wanted a change from her regular makeup routine, which was simply moisturizer and lip balm! I glammed her up a tad giving her a glowy complexion and a pop of color on her beautiful almond shaped eyes and well-turned lips.
This look can easily go from day to night, simply by darkening the crease.

To acheive this glowy look, read below!
Step 1: Prep lids with a  silicone based primer like Revlon's primer. Then follow up with a silicone based foundation like Revelon's Photo Ready foundation, all of which are available at most drugstores. Note: If you want a more sheer look, simply mix two parts foundation and one part moisturizer to create a makeshift tinted moisturizer

Step 2:  Dust transluscent powder over the entire face to set the foundation. Try NYC transluscent face powder ($2.99 at most major drugstores and Target)

Step 3: For asian eyes or mono-lids, sweep a deeper colored shadow,in this case a brown shadow on the crease, paying more attention to outer corners of the eyes to counteract the downward sloping.

Step 3: Apply a soft golden eyeshadow on the lid, overlapping a bit with the dark brown you applied in the crease. Then, apply darker brown shadow just above the previous brown.

Step 4: Lined her top lashes with a soft black shadow and an angled brush.

Step 5: I then applied a thin line of black cream or liquid liner on the mid to outer corners of the eyes, again to help lift them.

Step 6: Using Eyes Lips Face Bronzer (ELF), I dusted Em's forehead and the higher planes of her cheeks as well as the bridge of her nose. This is available at Target.

Step 7: I then curled her lashes using an eyelash curler from Sonia Kashuk, available at Target. I applied one coat of L'oreal Carbon Black mascara and finished the look with false lashes from Eyes Lips Face (ELF).

Step 8: Using a mid-toned brown colored lip liner, I lightly lined her lips. I then used a soft taupe colored brown lipstick over the entire lip. I then topped it with a honey colored lip gloss to create an amber colored lip.

Step 9: To accentuate the warm gold on her eyes, I used a soft coral colored blush on her cheeks.

Voila!
